I have played Palmares since 1986 and it was my favourite course. A few years ago I played just after it changed to 27 holes and my review was far from complimentary. I played again two years ago and it was better but a day or two ago I went to try my arm out on the driving range. I was walking down and two young men in a club buggy stopped and offered to take me down not only that they drove me to the Clubhouse and then back to the range. The range itself has turf that many clubs would want on their fairways it was excellent. Yesterday I started at the 19th after explaining to the young lady at check in that I had never played them. Then you shall start there today she said. The starter was a mine of information and very friendly The whole course is in excellent condition and after two holes I had it to myself. I hope that more people will soon be around to play. The views are tremendous as they always will be and the new holes I found quite testing. Tthe whole course has settled down and is a joy to play as it always was.
