Guys, please note that for this competition we all play of federation hcp, and so the results will not count for Society historical hcp
Chez Carlos Golf Society was invited to the Salgados Club to play in their annual Ducks tournament on 4 August. The concept of the event is play against the field in a stableford format with the top half of the field being treated to lunch, paid for by the bottom half. We'll just leave it at Carlos and myself very much appreciated John Ireland and Ray Moore making a donation on our behalf. I am sure some Salgados members also very much appreciate the courtesy of Denis and Giang Chatelan, Graham Walker and Greg Butler in picking up their tab for lunch. In all fairness, conditions were tough in the wind and with a field average of 28 points being the cut line, this speaks to the difficulty on the day. Once again in these Salgados events, the staff and organizers did a great job. The event was well run and the theme meal of duck dishes and great side dishes and sweets was exceptional. Whether paying or not for someone else's lunch was part of the day, the deal was still very worthwhile. I would suggest in future more Chez Carlos members take advantage of these invitations to these events hosted by Salgados.
It was a very nice competition, we got a good fun. Thank you Jim for the organisation.
Really well organised by Telma No problem at the venue and the course was in very good condition
