What a fantastic day we all had at Silves for the FORAL CUP. The weather was hot and the course was in good shape . Some of the greens were a little bumpy though. That didn’t seem to stop our winner today . 14 year old Max scored 39 points off a handicap of 24. Well played young man. But the main prize of the Trophy went to our Society Member Sean Kavanagh who shaded Carlos and Liz on countback to be this years winner of the Foral Cup. Thanks also to Tracey McCall who donated the trophy and the prizes. Same again next year..
Thoroughly enjoyed my first outing with the society. Thanks for making me welcome. Thanks to Carlos and his staff for a great BBQ and only sorry we had to leave early.
Nice golf course well maintained fairways and greens. Due to its 6 par 3’s and therefore piling up flights, it took us 5 hours for the round. Nevertheless it was enjoyable especially with the two other players Pete and Mike who joined us in the flight. We certainly will come back here!
