A bright and very breezy day at Silves today. Testing conditions, not helped by some very bumpy greens. But Jeff didn’t worry about that, chipping in from a bunker on the last hole for a birdie. Well done Jeff. And congratulations to Jan who got into the prizes for the first time. A lovely day out. Thanks everyone.
The day was a pleasure from start to finish. As organizer of a small group, I met with the caddymaster and this fellow was exceptional to deal with. He should be giving lessons to others in dealing with the public. The course was in very good condition and little player pressure on the course so it made for a relaxing and very enjoyable round. The course itself is a treat to play with a good mix of holes and picturesque views. There are scoring opportunities on a couple shorter holes that can also bite if misplayed. I wouldn't hesitate to play here any time.
