On Wednesday 28 July, 19 brave members of the Chez Carlos Golf Society ventured to Vila Sol Golf Course to test their abilities on a fairly warm day against formidable opponents, the Prime and Challenge 9s. Vila Sol was in great condition from tee to green and probably the best we have seen it in years. The greens were also in good form, were receptive to approach shots and rolled quite true. As is the game of golf, and with amateurs such as ourselves, for the most part the course prevailed. There were some highlights and good rounds played by a few. David Exley (34), Carlos Ferreira (32) and David Whalley (31) finished up the day as our top 3. Nearest the pin was on hole #13 and Peter McMahon launched a dart from 167 yards out. All in all and as is usual, it was an afternoon enjoyed by all on the golf course, and as well, the banter and barbs exchanged on the terrace afterwards are always worth the price of admission. We thank our members for their continued support and their contributions to our great social atmosphere every Wednesday and Saturday. We are very satisfied with this agency as we found really nice golf resort and golf course with a reasonable price! We will definitely be using teetimes again in the future to book our next golfing adventure! Thank you so much!
