Yesterday we played at Palmares Golf Course. It was a great day, but although the sun was shinning it was very windy. In general the golf course presented itself in quite good conditions. The Tee boxes, fairways, but for me the greens were a bit slow. We could clearly see that in Palmares Golf Course roughs are clean and this obviously helps when a ball is driven away. In our group the scores were not brilliant at all, but as we mention on the beginning the strong wind probably made the difference. Palmares Golf Course 27 holes are divised in 3 loops of 9 holes Alvoe Lagos and Praia. We played - Lagos and Praia – both presenting 3 par 5, 3 par 3 and 3 par 4. This is a golf course with a pleasent layout with challange but accessible holes and delightfull views over Meia Praia bay, between Lagos and Alvor. We should return .
Love this course with it’s beautiful views and interesting holes BUT on a lovely day like today regretted the 1p.m. start as the low afternoon sun made seeing the ball’s flight impossible after about 3 p. m.
