I wish to play on Wednesday plus one guest
European challenge tour players, just played the Open de Portugal las week-end . Course is great condition.
What a real pleasure to play on the course which has just hosted the Portuguese Open 3 days before. Morgado was in great condition. The fairways were in tip top condition. The rough had been grown but in places was already being cut back. Very tricky if you strayed off the fairways. The greens were in great condition but much slower than they looked, some were quicker than others, very hard to get the pace right. A wonderful Society day with 24 players. Great to see some familiar faces, congratulations to a David Exley who was the only player to beat net par. Great day, lovely weather, a real pleasure.
Nice course, obviously struggling a little with the drought conditions but the greens were in excellent order and all in a great mornings golf. We were out at 7.48am as a two ball and we’re called through by two 4 balls ahead of us after 5 holes, we were then clear and finished in 3 hours, great holiday golf, I’d recommend. Looks like there’s a few quid currently being invested into the course as well by the presence of some heavy machinery and workmen dotted around the course but not too invasive.
