Hopefully registration for Anne and I is OK.
Hi Ron Hope U are well. 3 November if anyone pulls out please do let me know i will take that place.thank you.
Hi Ron if a place comes available at Morgado, i will be interested.
If a space becomes availabe for Morgado would be grateful for inclusion. Best regards, Hugh
It was a beautiful day in warm sunshine on an immaculate golf course (except if you missed the fairway!). Scoring was mixed and nobody was able to hit the green at the 8th hole so no nearest the pin prize today. 5th place went to Bill Crozier losing on a countback to Trevor Ward both on 33 pts. 3rd was Tony Lopategui on 34, 2nd Joe Annett on 35, but 1st was our leader Carlos Ferreira on 44pts – yes 44! (This with complaining about a sore shoulder and numerous other problems like overwork!) I have suspended him from future tournaments until he plays off his proper handicap of 5! Most players returned to the Tee Times Café where Gilda was a brilliant host providing refreshments and food for those that required it. Many laughs and hilarity followed! Another great day with the Society.
This would undoubtedly be a fantastic course, were it not for the severe restrictions of the buggies on many of the fairways. Some fairways were completely closed to buggies. This resulted in many long walks back and forwards across the fairways which were in the main, thankfully, wide. This really spoiled the round for myself in particular, as I am severely limited in the distance I can walk or time I can stand. Would love to play it without those restrictions. On the upside, staff were all pleasant, courteous and helpful and facilities were good.
